Education
After A levels at Hymers College in Hull, I went to Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge (with a Clothworkers' Exhibition award) from 1974 to 1977. This was the two year Part I Engineering Science Tripos followed by the one year Part II Computer Science Tripos.
Having spent 5 years living in Southern Germany, I can read and converse in German.
In 1996, I took a one year Open University psychology course, I took an A level in Law in 2001 and obtained a Diploma in Financial Management from the ACCA in 2002 – this is split into 4 skill areas:
Interpretation of Financial Statements - including regulatory framework
Performance Management - financial and non-financial and KPIs
Financial Strategy - including resource allocation
Risk Management - corporate governance
Given the opportunity, I would like to continue studying and obtain a PhD.
